Gifts in Will

A gift in your will could help change the lives of thousands of cats and kittens for years to come.

As you reflect on your life’s journey, consider the unwavering companionship, the gentle purrs, and the comforting presence of a beloved feline friend. Our cherished cats fill our homes with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love, weaving themselves into the very fabric of our lives.

Now, imagine a world where every cat finds comfort, care, and a forever home. Picture a safe haven where abandoned, neglected, and vulnerable felines are embraced with open arms, where their every whisker is cherished, and their needs met with understanding and compassion.

This is the vision we strive to uphold at The Cat Protection Society of Victoria.

With your support, we’ve nurtured this vision into reality, tirelessly working to care for, rehabilitate, and rehome our feline friends.

But our journey is far from over, and we need your help to ensure that every cat’s tale ends in happiness and security. By leaving a gift in your will to The Cat Protection Society of Victoria, you can extend your love for cats beyond your lifetime, creating a legacy of compassion that echoes through the ages.

Your bequest will serve as a lifeline for cats yet to grace our doorstep, providing them with the care, shelter, and love they so desperately deserve. It will enable us to continue our vital work.

Together, we can safeguard the future of feline welfare, nurturing a world where no cat is left behind, where every whisker is a testament to love’s enduring power.

Your legacy will be more than a gift—it will be a beacon of hope for generations of cats to come, a testament to your unwavering dedication to their well-being.

Please, consider joining us on this journey of compassion, leaving a lasting imprint on the lives of our beloved feline companions. Together, we can ensure that every cat’s story ends with a happily ever after.

Preparing Your Will

After ensuring the well-being of your loved ones, you may wish to consider leaving a gift in your Will to support the Cat Protection Society of Victoria. Adding a bequest to your Will is a straightforward process; if you already have a Will, you can include a codicil, a legal provision, to add the bequest. It’s advisable to seek legal advice when drafting or amending your Will.

Using the correct wording in your Will is essential. Below are our business details, which should be included in any official documentation:

The Cat Protection Society of Victoria ABN: 35 390 087 628 PO Box 257, Greensborough Vic 3088

You may find the following bequest clause helpful for your legal advisor:

“I devise and bequeath to The Cat Protection Society of Victoria, ABN 35 390 087 628, free of all taxes and other deductions, [the residue of my estate / or other type of bequest] to be used for the general purpose of The Cat Protection Society of Victoria. The receipt of the Secretary or other proper officer of the said fund shall be sufficient discharge to my Trustee.”

Please note that this information is provided as a guideline only. We strongly recommend seeking professional guidance from a legal or financial advisor.
