The Cat Protection Society of Victoria is a not for profit animal welfare organisation that has been operating for over 75 years. Our facilities include a private clinic and an adoption shelter for stray, unowned or surrendered cats and kittens.

Chief Executive Officer

Our current CEO has announced that he will be retiring in 2025.  As a result, CPS will be looking to recruit a new CEO to fill this role. We would like to sincerely thank our current CEO Ian for his dedication and commitment over the 11 years and we look forward to his involvement in a smooth transition to a new CEO next year.

Shelter Clinic- Locum Veternarian

We are looking for a Locum Veterinarian to help in our shelter clinic for various dates in December and January, covering annual leave. There will be further work through 2025 if desired.

Our purpose-built facility has digital X-ray, dental X-ray, ultrasound and Idexx Catalyst One/Procyte Dx Haematology Analyser.

In addition to routine soft tissue surgeries and medical cases, with no client involvement there is considerable freedom to work up more complex cases in a supportive team environment.

We are looking for a veterinarian with a minimum of 2 years’ experience, with sound animal welfare ethics and good communication skills.

Our working hours are 8.30am-4.30pm, weekdays only.
