Furever Home Regular Giving Program

Be a Lifeline for Cats in Need. Join our Furever Home Regular Donor Program.

Every year, countless vulnerable, abandoned and surrendered cats and kittens arrive at The Cat Protection Society of Victoria seeking refuge, care and the promise of a happily-furever-after. By becoming a Furever Home Regular Donor, you can help transform their lives and provide them with the love and care they deserve.

Cats like Kiki, Quasimodo and Pickle whose stories you can read below.

18-Year-Old Kiki

At 18 years old, Kiki found himself lost and uncertain when his owner could no longer care for him. Surrendered to The Cat Protection Society in his twilight years, he arrived with a painful mouth infection, severe anaemia, and the unmistakable stiffness of arthritis. Our veterinary team worked quickly to ease his discomfort, running comprehensive tests to ensure he had no underlying conditions before placing him in our adoption shelter. But the bustling environment was overwhelming for this quiet old soul. To give him the peace he deserved, Kiki was moved into a loving foster home, where he quickly proved to be a gentle, low maintenance companion. Though he has continued to face minor health setbacks, ongoing arthritis treatment and a special diet keep him comfortable. Given his age and medical needs, Kiki has now been placed into permanent, palliative foster care, where he can live out his final years surrounded by love and familiarity. With over $7500 spent on his care to date, Kiki’s story is a reminder that every cat deserves dignity and comfort, no matter their age.

Your support helps us give senior cats like Kiki the kindness and security they need- will you help us continue this lifesaving work?

2-Year-Old Quasimodo

For two long years, Quasimodo fought to survive on the streets, scavenging for food and shelter with no human to call his own. When he arrived at The Cat Protection Society in early 2024, rescued by a council ranger, he bore the scars of his harsh life- his body weakened by neglect, his spirit wary of human touch. Our team provided the urgent care he needed: a full dental, vital medications, desexing, microchipping and vaccinations. But Quasi’s greatest challenge wasn’t just physical- it was learning to trust. Placed into a patient and loving foster home, he slowly came out of his shell, finding comfort in the companionship of another feline friend. After over 320 days in our care and more than $3500 in medical and rehabilitation costs, Quasi has finally blossomed into the affectionate, resilient cat he was always meant to be. Now, all he needs is a family to give him the forever home he’s waited so long for.

Will you help us continue to change lives like Quasi’s?

6-Week-Old Pickle

When tiny Pickle arrived at The Cat Protection Society, he was barely clinging to life- so cold that the thermometer couldn’t read his temperature, too weak to move and suffering from a horrific injury to his hind leg. At just six weeks of age and weighing only 500 grams, he needed urgent intervention to survive. Our veterinary team quickly provided intravenous fluids, warmth and pain relief before performing emergency surgery to amputate his lifeless, fly-blown leg. That night, Pickle went home with his foster carer, where he has slowly but surely blossomed into a loving, playful kitten- purring endlessly for pats and even nose-booping his furry foster siblings. Pickle’s journey from near death to a happy, thriving kitten has cost over $2800 in medical care, and it’s only thanks to the generosity of donors that we can continue saving lives like his.

Will you help us give more vulnerable kittens their second chance?
