At The Cat Protection Society of Victoria, we are dedicated to reducing cat overpopulation and preventing the suffering of unwanted litters. In 2024 alone, we desexed over 2,440 cats and kittens—including nearly 1,300 females. This made a real impact, but with just one female cat and her offspring capable of producing up to 5,000 kittens in their lifetime, there is still so much more to do.
Our goal for 2025 is to desex an additional 1,250 cats, stopping the birth of over 6 million kittens that would otherwise struggle to find homes. Each desexing procedure costs at least $80, meaning we need to raise $100,000 to achieve this life-changing goal.
With your support, we can break the cycle of unwanted litters, reduce shelter overcrowding, and create a better future for Victorian cats.
Donate today and help us fix the future—one cat at a time.
By donating to The Cat Protection Society of Victoria, you’re helping to provide life-saving care, shelter, and a second chance for cats in need. Your contribution ensures that each cat receives the medical attention, food, and love they deserve, and helps us find them their forever homes. Every dollar counts, and with your support, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable cats across Victoria.
Will you be a paw-son for abandoned cats in need this Christmas and give the gift of love, care, joy and health?
