Can your organisation help us care for abandoned and surrendered Victorian cats in need?

Partner with Us to Change Lives- One Cat at a Time

The Cat Protection Society of Victoria is the state’s largest dedicated cat welfare shelter, committed to giving abandoned and surrendered cats a second chance at a loving home.

For over 75 years, we’ve been the safety net for thousands of Victorian cats, providing shelter, nourishment, medical care, and the promise of a better future. We never euthanise for space, age, or the time a cat has been with us—because every cat deserves a life filled with love, comfort, and endless purrs.

But we can’t do it alone.

As a not-for-profit organisation, we rely on the generosity of businesses, workplaces, and community groups to continue our lifesaving work. By partnering with us, your organisation can make a direct impact on the lives of over 1,200 cats and kittens who need us each year.

Join us in making a difference—because together, we can ensure every cat gets the second chance they deserve.

Team Spotlight: The Victorian Department of Fairness and Housing

In late 2024, the team at The Department of Fairness and Housing put their compassion into action, launching a workplace fundraiser that united their staff for a common cause. Through friendly competition, matched donations, and office-wide events, they raised essential funds to support Victorian cats in need. Their efforts helped provide life-saving care, and their team spirit made an incredible impact!

Join our Workplace Giving Program with Good2Give

Workplace giving is a simple and tax-effective way for employees to support The Cat Protection Society of Victoria directly from their pre-tax salary. Through our workplace giving partner, Good2Give, employees can contribute a small amount each pay, reducing their taxable income and providing an immediate tax benefit—no need to wait until tax time. Businesses can amplify the impact by matching employee donations, either dollar-for-dollar or up to a set amount, helping to provide even more care and support for cats in need.

Volunteer as Corporate Volunteers

The CPSV Corporate Volunteering Program offers your team a unique, hands-on experience at our cat adoption shelter in Greensborough.

Volunteering is not only a fantastic way to bond as a team, but it also plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our shelter and the wellbeing of the cats in our care.

As a not-for-profit organisation, our resources are limited, and corporate volunteer groups provide essential support to ensure our shelter remains a safe, enriching, and well-maintained space for every cat awaiting their forever home.

While volunteering with The Cat Protection Society of Victoria, your team will take part in a tailored experience that could include shelter cleaning and maintenance, enrichment activities for our cats, fundraising initiatives, and assisting with community outreach programs.

Most importantly, you’ll get to see firsthand the impact your time and efforts have on the cats in our care.

Our Corporate Volunteer sessions can cater for a team of up to 6 volunteers. If your team is larger, please contact us to discuss. All volunteers must be aged over 18 years. Sessions are available Monday-Friday from 2 to 6 hours long. There is no cost involved.

If your workplace or organisation is ready to make a difference, we’d love to have you on board!
