What we do

Since its establishment in 1947, The Cat Protection Society of Victoria has evolved into the largest shelter dedicated to feline welfare in Victoria. Annually, we assist over 1500 cats and kittens through our adoption shelter, ensuring they receive essential care such as shelter, nourishment, and veterinary attention to prepare them for adoption into loving homes. Additionally, our onsite cat-friendly veterinary clinic offers affordable and expert care to cats within our local community.

Beyond direct care, we are committed to educating individuals of all ages on responsible cat ownership and promoting the remarkable companionship cats offer.

Through outreach initiatives, we collaborate with the community to raise awareness and understanding of feline welfare issues.

Moreover, our subsidised desexing programs aim to curb the proliferation of unwanted litters, thus reducing the number of cats at risk of abandonment in the future.
