The team at The Cat Protection Society of Victoria are on the search for an incredibly special person with an absolute passion and love for all things cats and kittens to join us in what could arguably be the world’s greatest job; that of official Cat Cuddler for The Cat Protection Society of Victoria. A volunteer role, our Cat Cuddler will be responsible for providing love, affection and enrichment to the cats and kittens in our care awaiting adoption into their furever home.

An essential role within our Adoption Shelter, our Cat Cuddler will take on the job of making sure that the cats and kittens in our care feel safe and loved and are socialised and well prepared to be adopted into their purrfect home and live their happily furever after.

Our Cat Cuddler role will be a 3 month volunteer role and will require the successful applicant to visit our Adoption Shelter a minimum of 3 hours, one day per week (on a weekday) during our normal Adoption Shelter operating hours.

  • Applications to become The Cat Protection Society of Victoria Cat Cuddler are open from Monday 2nd May 2022 – Friday 4th June, 2022 to Cat-Lovers aged 18years+
  • Our Cat Protection Society Cat Cuddler will be selected at the discretion of the Cat Protection Society Shelter and Marketing Team during week commencing the 13th of June 2022.
  • The selected Cat Cuddler must be able to commit to the full 3 month period on a mutually agreed start date from the 5th July, 2022
  • All applicants must be able to follow and comprehend any instructions provided by our Cat Protection Shelter and Veterinary Clinic Team, work with minimal supervision and be comfortable interacting with members of the public the Cat Protection Team
  • Prior to commencement, The Cat Protection Society Cat Cuddler must provide proof (medical certificate) that they have received a Tetanus Vaccination within the last 10 years and show a valid COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
  • Additional obligations of The Cat Protection Society Volunteers Program must be followed whilst Volunteering in the role of Cat Cuddler
