Work with Us

Are you passionate about animal welfare and protecting the rights of those who can’t do so themselves? Would you like to make a very real difference to the lives of cats and kittens in need?

The Cat Protection Society of Victoria is a not for profit animal welfare organisation that has been operating for over 70 years. Our facilities include a private clinic and an adoption shelter for stray, unowned or surrendered cats and kittens.

It’s the perfect time to be involved in the future direction of the Cat Protection Society.

Feline Veterinarian

Feline Veterinarian Private Clinic and Community Desexing

Here is an exciting opportunity to care exclusively for cats. We are looking for a Vet to work 2 days in our Private Vet Clinic 1-4 Saturdays and 1 day with our Community Desexing Team.

You will be joining a team of 4 committed, supportive and experienced Vets in well-appointed new facilities. We have digital xrays, dental xrays, in-house Idexx blood machine, capnograph, blood pressure monitoring, ultrasound and multiple bright, spacious surgical suites.

The hours are fantastic 8.30-4.30pm and Saturdays are 8:30-1pm. We value collaboration, integrity and a respectful work environment. We try to look out for each other and enjoy ourselves at work. We have a coffee machine and barista in the building and lots of cake!

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in Feline Medicine. We currently have a Vet with a membership in small animal medicine (ANZCVS) on staff. Our current full-time Vet is an ISFM member and we are an accredited Cat Friendly Clinic.

The Cat Protection Society of Victoria is a not-for-profit animal welfare organisation that has been operating for over 70 years. This year we are on track to rehome or adopt up to 2000 cats. We look forward to seeing these successful adoptions as loved companion cats in the private clinic.
