Thank you for expressing interest in adopting a cat or kitten from The Cat Protection Society of Victoria.

A copy of this form has now been emailed to our adoption team and can be accessed when you visit our Adoption Shelter. Please advise our team that you have completed the application form online when you arrive.

Our adoption shelter is open 7 days. We are open Monday- Saturday from 10am-4pm with adoptions available until 3pm and 10am-3pm on Sunday with adoptions available until 2.30pm. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to meet all the cats and kittens available and spend quality time playing and interacting with your potential feline family member.

Please ensure that the person who will be responsible for the overall care and wellbeing of the cat attends the meet and greet appointment; we do not allow people to adopt a cat on behalf of somebody else or as a gift for a friend or family member. Where possible we recommend coming to your appointment with your entire family / everyone who will be involved in the care of the cat to see who the entire family bonds best with. 

If you are wanting to proceed with an adoption following your meet and greet appointment, you will need to provide your proof of address and a form of photo identification. If you already have more than 1 cat at home, we also recommend you contact your Local Council to determine if an additional permit is required prior to adoption. If renting, please bring along a letter of approval from your Landlord.
