Meet Jack, a guy with a beautiful heart brimming with tenderness for the right family. While initially timid and nervous in new environments and with unfamiliar people, Jack's true nature is that of a loving and friendly companion just waiting to emerge.

He dreams of a patient family that can offer the time and understanding needed for him to feel comfortable and secure. With patience and a little TLC, Jack will transform into a cherished member of your family, eager to offer you affection and joy.

From his Foster Home -
Jack is an amazing cat, he’s loaded with personality and is very friendly, social, playful and needy. He doesn’t like being left out, if I shut myself off in a room he’ll sit outside for 15+ minutes meowing until I come out.

He’s naughty when it comes to food, there was a short period of food aggression when feeding him (batting my hand when i tried to put the bowl down). He will absolutely try and steal your food if left out or fall into a takeout bag.
He’s extremely social, a big reason I’m not adopting is because he’s so needy and cries whenever he sees the neighbours outside cats. I really hope he finds a home with other cats he can play with.

Jack loves pats, once warmed up he especially likes big long belly rubs. He also loves pats on his head, long heavy pats with some weight on his head seem lovely.
He really responds to words and your voice. I pretty much say good boy Jackie as a mantra when petting him or getting his attention which works wonders. Also bending down and offering your hand/fingers with a wiggle usually gets him to come up. In Jack’s case if he lowers his head it means he wants pats.

Jack’s also very shy, if he’s giving you a side-eye or looking at you but not moving it's because he’s nervous. Looking away from him and talking to yourself usually gives him the confidence to move. He also is very playful and wants pats but is too shy to come ask for them, patience is key with Jack.

Jack’s favourite spots in the house would be anywhere up against a window that he can observe from. It takes him time to warm up to new things/spots but he eventually settles into the softest and friendliest cat possible. His softness comes at the cost of a lot of cat hair everywhere, but is worth it.
